Kitêba Pîroz App Overview and Details
Kiteba Piroz, a Kurdish-Iranian author and journalist, was born in Mahabad, Iran, in 1945. After the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, Piroz was arrested and spent four years in prison. He was released in 1983 and went into exile in Sweden. His first book, “Rûpelên wêjeyî yên Kurdistanê” (The Poetic Dialects of Kurdistan), was published in Sweden in 1985. The book was banned in Iran. Piroz has written several other books, including “Wêje û çandên Kurdî” (Kurdish Literature and Arts), “Kurdistan – Rûpelên giran” (Kurdistan – The Heavy Pages), and “Kurdistan – Dîrok, çand û wêjeya me” (Kurdistan – History, Culture and My Literature).
