In Atrapados, author Juan Gomez-Jurado tells the story of a group of friends who, while on vacation in the Canary Islands, become stranded on a volcanic island. The group is forced to battle the harsh elements as well as each other as they attempt to find a way off the island. Gomez-Jurado does an excellent job of creating believable, well-rounded characters who are forced to face their fears and limitations. The story moves at a fast pace, and I found myself turning the pages to find out what happened next. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller.
